2026 Cup Regatta...
The CYAA is once again proud to announce the Cup Regtta, to be sailed on the waters of Melbourne's Hobsons Bay over the Melbourne Cup weekend, October 30 - November 2, 2026 Now in its 20th rendition and hosted by the Royal Melbourne Yacht Squadron as part of its 150th celebrations the event brings together Classics, Tumlaren and Couta boats in what is a must do for Classic Yacht enthusiasts. Nose to Tail Sailing
Marie Louise III leads out
Showing her power and comfort in a blow, the Eight Metre cruiser racer, Marie Louise III leads out from Tumlarens Ettrick (321), Zephyr (318) and Avian (96)
Sirocco
Sirocco, the 44ft sloop built in Tasmania in 1939 from a Sparkman and Stephens design, streaks across Sandy Bay.
Skipjack
Skipjack the 1947 Tumlaren, meticulously restored, leads a gaggle of Tum's after rounding "A Mark". Introduced to Port Phillip in 1937, the Tumlaren was the predominant one-design class on "the Bay"
Mercedes IV
Its all hands to the hoist on Mercedes IV. Mercedes IV built to contest the 1975 Admiral's Cup is today a regular competitor on the waters of Port Phillip.

Sayonara Summer Series...

Victorian Challenger Sayonara leads NSW defender Bona out through Sydney Heads to compete in Heat one of the Interstate Yacht Challenge Series on 3rd January 1904. Sayonara won the Series and her owner, Albert Gollin, proposed future challenges be named the Sayonara Cup.
