The second running of the CYCA’s 2025 Great Veterans Race is to be run over the weekend of 10-11 May, 2025.
This years event will see a fleet of around 20 classic yachts grace Sydney Harbour with the qualifier that they must have competed in at least one Sydney Hobart Yacht Race.
Two divisions will run in 2025. The ‘Classic’ division is open to boats launched prior to 1976 and the ‘Modern Classic’ division is open to yachts launched after 1975 but prior to 1996. This change has been made so the GVR categories will match those in this year’s 80th Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race.
