The harbour city lights up again for the 2025 running of the Sydney Hobart Classic Yacht Regatta. A spectacle featuring some of Australia’s finest and most renowned classic yachts. Names like Fidelis, Love and War, Bacardi, Patrice II; names that evoke images of mighty tussles from the 60s, 70s and 80s, of yachts slugging it out over the 628nm course to Hobart.
Relive these memories on the waters of Sydney Harbour in December, the Notice of Race has now been published and entries are being accepted.
Racing will commence on the Friday afternoon with a non-spinnaker race, followed by a pursuit race on the Saturday and a scratch start on Sunday. The event finishes up with a celebration and informal BBQ in the Rolex Sydney Hobart Village on the hard stand at the CYCA.
CYAA members are encouraged to get to Sydney and be involved in what will be a spectacle of classic yacht sailing. Through our Sydney representatives we can assist with any introductions required.
