Saturday the 9th June, saw the third running of the CYCA’s Great Veterans Race, a classic yacht race open to yachts that have competed in the time-honoured Sydney Hobart Race. In all 31 yachts entered across three divisions, including a modern classic division for those post 1975 yachts.
The race was sailed in SE to SW winds of 8-12kts across a picturesque Sydney day.
The wInners in each division were:
Division 1: Syonara (Simon Triggs)
Division 2: Valhalla (Tony Burgess)
Division 3: Bimblegumble (Isabelle Badger)

Participants wore black armbands as a mark of respect to the recently passed Gordon Ingate.
