The Classic Yacht Association of Australia welcomes classic yacht owners and crew along with supporters of classic yachts and sailing to join the CYAA.
We have two categories of membership available, full member, or crew and supporter membership.
Current fees are:
- $105.00 pa for boat owners
- $95.00 pa for crew and supporter members
Full members can apply to have their yacht added to the association’s vessel register (restrictions apply).
Membership of the association has many benefits. These include:
- The ability to sail and socialise with like-minded classic yachting enthusiasts.
- The opportunity to participate in the CYAA Summer and Winter Series (Melbourne only) along with the annual Cup Regatta.
- The opportunity to participate in other sailing events as negotiated by the CYAA..
- Access to special publications as produced by the association.
- Special discounts on marine insurance and other services as negotiated through the association.
- Technical presentations and social events organised by the association.
- The satisfaction of helping to preserve Australia’s rich sailing heritage.
New Members
The CYAA membership year ends on 30 June. New members will be charged their first year on a pro-rata basis from the date of acceptance. Applicants between now and 1st July, 2026 will automatically receive a 2026/27 membership (up to 2 month bonus).
The CYAA will contact new members, once approved, with subscription and payment details.

Renewing Members
Membership subscriptions for the 2026/2027 year are due on 1 July 2026. Current fees are:
- $105.00 pa for Boat owner
- $55.00 pa for Crew and supporter members.
The CYAA has now adopted the Member Wizard system for managing our membership database and payments. Members can expect their renewal invoice soon after the 1st July 2026. If you have not received your renewal please contact us here and we will be happy to organise one for you.
