CYAA – Merry Christmas 2025

The committee of the CYAA wish all our members a very Merry Christmas and an extremely prosperous New Year.

Thank you to our members and friends for their support on the water over the last 12 months. In Victoria we enjoyed fantastic sailing over both the summer and winter series and produced a wonderful Cup Regatta, whilst in Sydney the classic yacht scene was alive with very successful events including the CYCA Great Veterans Race, the SASC Centenarians Rally and the CYCA Sydney Hobart Classic Yacht Regatta which enjoyed record entry.

On a sad note we lost great friend in Bruce Tantrum from the CYANZ, Bruce was a great supporter and instigator of classic yacht sailing and his energy and enthusiasm will be greatly missed.

A very merry Christmas to our major supporters, the Joe White Bequest,  Vicsail, Wilderness Wear, FJ Darley Traditional Shipwrights, Savages Wharf, Tudor Insurance, the Wooden Boat Shop and Bronze and Brass Fasteners. Where possible ensure you have some of their products in your “pillow case”. We appreciate your support and look forward to continuing our relationship in 2026

Christmas is a time for family and friends and reflection (not in your brightwork). We trust you are able to spend some quality and safe time with loved ones on or off the water.  For those undertaking adventures in their classic yachts, send us a story of your travels and we’ll publish it on our website

We look forward to seeing you again in 2026.
