History
Little sister to the successful ocean racer Tina of Melbourne (S&S37), Martine was built for Ernie Scott by Henk Groen in 1970. She herself went on to compete in the Sydney – Hobart in 1977 and came in a respectable 37th.
Martini (as she was renamed) has been owned by Michael and Ross since 2004. Back then she was a sad sight; her previous owner had passed away and she later sunk in her pen. She had been lifted onto the hard stand at the RYCV and sat there for many months. Close to meeting a grisly fate, Ross and Michaelstepped in and purchased her and over the next 12 years restored her to her former glory.
Since relaunching in 2008 she has raced in every CYAA Summer and Winter series, and most Cup Regattas has been very competitive, winning two Tony Blake Trophies.
