The CYAA handicapper, Peter Costolloe has advised that following conversations with the owner of the stunning 8mR, Frances that his custodianship of this beautiful yacht is coming to an end.
Designed to the International 8mR rule and built by Ernest Digby and launched in 1948, Frances would go on to win the prestigious Sayanora Cup in 1951, 1952, and again in 1954.
The owners wish is that Frances will remain in Melbourne and as such he has indicated that she will be available to the right people at the right price. This exceedingly generous offer wont last indefinitely.
With the possible return of another Melbourne 8mR, Vanessa, this represents a great opportunity to get in to the the world of meter class racing.
