In 2023 a special Classic Yacht General Maintenance Fund was established and a call put out to members to contribute.
Classic Yacht supporters were asked to support the Tumlaren, Yvonne restoration syndicate, who had outlaid tens of thousands of dollars in materials and time, so that Yvonne’s running expenses could be shared. The objective was to allow time for a local custodian to be found in order to keep Yvonne in the Melbourne Tumlaren fleet, where she has such a coveted history.
We are pleased to advise that Dave Allen, of Sayonara renown, is now the custodian of Yvonne, and will sail her out of the Royal Yacht Club of Victoria (RYCV).
