Based on AMS/PHS handicaps, Mercedes lll was the 8th slowest in a fleet of 82 yachts; hence the Division 3 allocation.
Skipper, Martin Ryan:
“Winning our Division was the first objective and equally important was performing well against the faster boats in Division 2. We did that with 2nd placings on AMS and PHS in that Division.
It is the third time we have finished 2nd to Division 2 AMS winner Alibi.”
The CoB started in a 15 knot S/SE breeze with a late shift favouring the starboard end of the line.
